OSTRA the Orem Short Term Rental Alliance is an organization that advocates for fair and balanced regulations in the city of Orem Utah. As orem creates their regulations we want to have a seat at the table to educate and learn with city officials making the decisions. As hosts we see the value in living in our neighborhoods in harmony and being an integral part of the neighborhood. Many of our hosts live in their homes and rent out a portion of the space. This is the best situation as the owner can ensure parking, noise, and other potential issues are under control and minimize the impact of the vacation rental on the neighborhood. When done correctly, the neighborhood won't even know there is a vacation rental next door.
